Disappointing day With DeAndre Ayton managing just eight rebounds in 37 minutes in the Suns 102-100 victory over the Grizzlies, taking our season tally to 12-8 (all $1.75+). We now shift our focus to the big Tuesday slate of NBA action and present our best bet for the day!
Best Best Tuesday November 6th
Minnesota Timberwolves at Los Angeles Clippers
Staples Center – 2:20pm AEDT
Our best play of the day comes courtesy of the Minnesota Timberwolves at Los Angeles Clippers match-up, where we have the Clippers cruising to an easy win over the disgruntled Timberwolves.
The Timberwolves locker room troubles have been well documented for some time now, so it’s no surprise to us that they’ve severely struggled with consistency in the early part of their campaign. They’re currently in 11th position in the Western Conference with a 4-6 record and three more tough away games to come in their current five-game long road trip.
On the other hand, the Clippers have surprised a lot of people with just how competitive they are, as they currently sit in seventh position in the Western Conference with a 5-4 record. They have a roster littered with hard-nosed veterans who know what it takes to get the job done, especially at home where they are 3-1 coming into the game against the Timberwolves.
For how good the Clippers have been at home, the Timberwolves have been equally as bad on the road. They have played five games in opposition territory, with the results going as follows:
October 18: 108-112 loss to the Spurs
October 21: 136-140 loss to the Mavericks
October 25: 105-112 loss to the Raptors
November 3: 99-116 loss to the Warriors
November 5: 81-111 loss to the Trail Blazers
As you can see, they are 0-5 on the road and have managed to cover the spread on just one occasion. This makes a play opposing them extremely enticing, especially when the team you’re backing is as consistent and reliable as the veteran Clippers. Even if Jimmy Butler returns, and we suspect he will, we have the Clippers being far too strong for the Timberwolves at home.
Los Angeles Clippers -4 Handicap – $1.92 at Sportsbet
Our lone bonus play for Tuesday’s action is from the Cleveland Cavaliers at Orlando Magic match-up. This one was close to being our best play, but eventually just got nudged out by the Clippers play. The Magic have been inconsistent and currently hold a poor 3-6 record, but we feel that may have found some momentum in their impressive road win over the Spurs on Monday. When you couple that with the fact that the Cavaliers are 0-4 on the road this season with an average losing margin of 14.8 points, you have yourself a really solid play.
